Surfer riding a wave, performing a maneuver against a clear blue sky.

ABOUT

Kolohe Andino grew up surfing royalty in San Clemente, California, the son of former national champion Dino Andino. His father had him on a board at two, and by eight he'd won his first contest. He went on to collect a record nine NSSA national titles as an amateur, more than any male competitor in the sport's history, and became the youngest surfer ever to win one at 15.

He qualified for the Championship Tour at 18 in 2012 and won his first WSL event in 2015 at Huntington Beach. In 2019 he became the first American surfer to qualify for the Olympics, competing at Tokyo 2020 after recovering from ankle surgery that cost him half a season. His surfing is fast and explosive, built on hard bottom turns and dynamic hits on and above the lip, and that same style shaped his signature FCS fin in the Accelerator family. Off the water, he's become a mentor to the next wave of San Clemente talent, from Griffin Colapinto on down.
