FCS WELCOMES CARISSA MOORE AND SKY BROWN

SEASON WITH KAULI VAAST

The last 18 months have been a glorious window of time for Tahitian Kauli Vaast. The goofy-footer has packed some of the most gigantic and gorgeous caverns ever seen at Teahupoo, qualified for the 2022 Challenger Series and more recently has claimed the local trials for the upcoming 2022 Tahiti Pro.

HOW SIERRA LERBECK TOOK ON THE MEN AND WON

Each year a world-class field of longboarders descend upon the sunshine coast for the Noosa Festival Of Surfing. Of the 33 competitors who pulled on a singlet in the Old Mal division this year, only three were women. Hawaiian-born, Aussie-based, Sierra Lerback, made history not only by being the first woman in the finals but by actually beating the boys and taking the first-place trophy home.

When Australia’s east coast got bombarded with swell, FCS team-rider Matt Chojnacki was right there amongst it. RIO WAIDA WINS SYDNEY SURF PRO

Rio Waida has taken out the biggest win of any Indonesian in world surfing claiming his maiden Challenger Series win at Manly Beach yesterday. Armed with his trusty AM Tri Fins and Filipe Toledo traction, Waida claimed a series of scalps over the course of the event before drawing perennial event standout Ryan Callinan.

ISABELLA NICHOLS WINS MARGARET RIVER PRO

Isabella Nichols (AUS) has won the Margaret River Pro, the fifth and final stop before the Mid-season Cut on the World Surf League (WSL) 2022 Championship Tour (CT). CT rookie Gabriela Bryan(HAW) earned the runner-up finish after great performances in his own in the eight-to-ten foot waves at Main Break.

INTRODUCING - THE WAXHEAD

Matt ‘The Waxhead’ Chojnacki is an interesting cat; a self-professed surf nerd, Longboard Tour surfer and all-round frother of wave riding. Having had a long-term relationship with FCS, Matt recently designed a new signature longboard fin, which in his opinion, is a perfect allrounder that delivers pivoting prowess off the tail while still allowing for confident nose riding.

FILIPE TOLEDO WINS RIP CURL PRO BELLS BEACH

Filipe’s victory at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach was one for the ages. From groomed perfection at the Bells Bowl, to tricky onshore Winkipop and finally to the softer walls of Rincon. Regardless of the conditions on offer, Filipe was a clear standout which speaks to his adaptability and how highly tuned he is with his equipment.

Three-time World Champion Mick Fanning (AUS) has been awarded the event wildcard for the upcoming Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, the fourth stop on the World Surf League (WSL) 2022 Championship Tour (CT), which holds a competition window from April 10 to April 20, 2022.
