ABOUT
Julian Wilson grew up on Australia's Sunshine Coast, the youngest in a surfing family, and won the 2006 ISA World Junior Title before he'd even turned pro. He qualified for the Championship Tour in 2011 and took Rookie of the Year that same season. His surfing set him apart from the start, an electric mix of high-flying airs and razor-sharp turns that made him one of the most watched surfers on tour, whether he was in a jersey or not.
He won the Pipe Masters in 2014, beating Gabriel Medina, and picked up the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing the same year. He finished runner-up for the world title in 2018 after wins on the Gold Coast and in France, and represented Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Five Championship Tour wins, a Pipe Masters trophy, and a style that pushed the sport forward every time he paddled out. That's the résumé of one of the most respected surfers of his generation.
